DS Doris was hybridized by David Smith and introduced in 2025. It’s a beautiful deep burgundy with very dark purple undertones. It’s one of those that is hard to capture correctly in a photograph but is very eye catching and the form is stunning. A winner of the Derrick Hart medal and high seedling bench scores as well as trial garden scores. A beautiful addition.
