Jane Cowl Limit 1
*Limit one per household please.
Reaching 6’ tall in our field, with 8-10” fluffy peach, gold and bronze colored blooms perched atop strong stems, this giant heirloom holds an enormous amount of presence in the garden. This is one of the only cultivars that has not lost its original name through the passage of time from when it was grown in the gardens at Meadowburn Farm (the farm of Helena Rutherfurd Ely) almost one hundred years ago. It has since been lovingly resurrected back into circulation and although she is still hard-to-find, she is making her way back into gardens across the US. She holds a special place here and is a true joy to grow. Introduced in 1928.
